R.D. Khosla commemorates the martyrs of Jallian Wala Bagh on Baisakhi

The school organized a special assembly on this particular occasion followed by an emotional tribute by reciting a Shabad. Principal Mrs. Bindu Bhalla acquainted the students with the significance of the day. She mentioned that 100 years ago on Sunday, 13th April 1919, many people assembled in Jallian Wala Bagh Amritsar for a peaceful rally. Colonel Reginald Edward Harry Dyer entered the garden with a troop and without any warning ordered the British Army to shoot at the unarmed crowd. He ordered to block the main entrance. She added that this is considered a distressing event in the British history and it was a turning point for the freedom fight which gave birth to patriots like S. Bhagat Singh and S. Udham Singh.

An emotional Drama was performed by the students creating a scene of Jallian Wala Bagh massacre. Teachers as well as students paid a tribute to the Martyrs of this tragic incident.

Chairman Mr. Arvind Khosla and President Mr. Ajay Khosla also paid their homage and motivated the students for patriotism.
