The 43rd Annual Prize Distribution and Cultural Programme (Part–1) of R.D.Khosla was celebrated with great pomp and enthusiasm. The event was graced by Chief Guest Sardar Aman Sher Singh Kalsi, MLA Batala, and Guest of Honour Dr. Rashmi Nanda, a renowned Kathak dancer and cultural scholar.
The programme began with the ceremonial lamp lighting by the school’s Chairman Sh. Arvind Khosla, President Sh. Ajay Khosla, Principal Dr. Bindu Bhalla, and Managing Committee members Sardar Bhupinder Singh, Mr. Varinder Kansara, Mr. Kamal Arora, Mrs. Monika Khosla, Mrs. Manisha Khosla, Bhagat Kunal Ji and Dr. Nijjar.
This year’s theme “SARGAM – A CONFLUENCE OF NOTES” beautifully highlighted the significance of the seven musical notes in human life. Each note symbolised a profound human valus and together, they create the melody of life, reminding us that every emotion is expressed through music.
Students presented soulful performances portraying the role of music since the beginning of creation. Tributes were paid to legendary musicians including Pandit Ravi Shankar, Ustad Bismillah Khan, Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, Pandit Vishnu Narayan Bhatkhande, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, A.R. Rahman, and Kavita Krishnamurthy. The audience also remembered Shiv Kumar Batalvi, the Sultan of Birha, with deep reverence.
Principal Dr. Bindu Bhalla welcomed all dignitaries, parents, and media personnel. She presented the annual report, highlighting the school’s achievements in academics, yoga, and sports. Students have excelled at both state and national levels in cricket, wrestling, table tennis, handball, badminton, and volleyball, continuously progressing towards their goals.
Chairman Sh. Arvind Khosla praised the students’ performances and said that life is a theatre—where with enthusiasm and determination, every goal can be achieved. President Sh. Ajay Khosla expressed that the annual function is a day of celebration and inspiration for students.
Chief Guest Sardar Aman Sher Singh Kalsi appreciated the school’s efforts and assured full support for school-related developments, ensuring students face no difficulties. Guest of Honour Dr. Rashmi Nanda admired the theme and performances, saying the students beautifully connected music with life.
The event concluded with the felicitation of meritorious students and a power-packed Bhangra performance that enthralled the audience. On behalf of the management committee, the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour were honoured with shawls and mementos##
